Some other goodies...

As many of you know, I also give private art lessons & love to do paintings & other "artsy" things. This week I did a wedding gift for a client - she bought a large platter and I used glass paint to create the design based off the couple's "save the date." A few weeks ago I did this alphabet themed table & chairs for another client. Her kiddos were so cute when I dropped it off - they starting singing and counting as they pointed to the letters & numbers. (Sorry 'bout the photo-it was one of those "oh shoot! I forgot to get a picture!" moments as I was loading it into the car)
I am incredibly thankful to be as busy as I have been!! In addition to the private art lessons I've already been enjoying, this week I start group art lessons with some home-school families. We'll be creating some Matisse-inspired self portraits for this first session & I can't wait to get started. In a couple weeks I'll be setting up at an FRG event to take family portraits at their holiday party...and of course I've got all the portrait sessions. When we moved here I really thought I was going to be bored out of my mind...I'm so glad to have been proved wrong on that!
I gotta thank my awesome hubby,Mike, for being as great as he's been about me starting my own business...and definetly gotta thank photographers Ali & Scott back in Kansas for all they've taught me. (check out their websites-links are on my "about the artist" page on my site) As with anything else in life, it's an endless amount of learning & growing I've got to look forward to, but I've learned so much from them and I hope I'm making them proud :-) If you find yourself in the Fort Riley area, definetly look them up!!
Thank you again to everyone that I've worked with so far-I've been having so much fun, and I really appreciate how many of you have told your friends about me.
Smiles! Missie
